Hell Bay Hotel, on the island of Bryher in the Isles of Scilly, has also been named the Best Seaside Hotel in Great Britain and Ireland for 2017 by The Good Hotel Guide 2017 and awarded a prestigious Cesar award.
Although not a Tourisn Award, it is worth mentioning that Knightor Winery near St Austell has also won a Gold Medal for their Mena Hweg (which means Sweet Hill in Cornish) in the Critics Choice category of the Sommelier Wine Awards.

Cornwall has held onto its crown as the Best UK Holiday Destination in the British Travel Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan gained the gold award in the Best UK Leisure Attraction category with the Eden Project dropping to the silver award after holding the gold award for five consecutive years.

National Caravan Council, The Caravan Club and The Camping and Caravannning Club survey of parents with children under 16 revealed that Cornwall is third on a "must see" list behind the Lake District and Stonehenge.

Judges decided the best place to spend a penny was the Cribbar, on Gover Lane in Newquay, which scooped a platinum award.
All of the toilets are graded from bronze to gold, with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.
The platinum rating is given only to outlets which offer "exceptional toilets".
