Morwenna was born on 14th January 1964 in Flushing, near Falmouth and attended Truro High School for Girls. She is probably remembered for the Channel 4 comedy series Absolutely, where her best-known character was a schoolgirl who sat on the edge of a desk. Banks made her US television debut on 8th April 1995 on Saturday Night Live. She left the show after four episodes, making her one of the shortest-lived cast members. Morwenna provided the voice of Mummy Pig in the children's television series Peppa Pig. She also provided the voices of Claire Feeble and Heather Perfect in the animated series Stressed Eric (1998 - 2000). She played receptionist Vicky in Saxondale (2006 - 2007). Morwenna played the part of Jasmine in the 2006 film Alien Autopsy, starring Ant (Anthony McPartlin) and Dec (Declan Donnelly). She has also appeared in Sabrina, the Teenage Witch as the Keeper of the Rules and as Tess in the 2004 BBC comedy series Catterick. Morwenna lives with the comedian and novelist David Baddiel and their son, Ezra Beckett, and daughter, Dolly Loveday. |
