The Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature is a community event co-ordinated by Restormel Borough Council. 2004 is the 8th year of the festival and provides an entertaining 10 days of star names, guided walks, talks, drama, local events and free entertainment. The events are set in the picturesque harbour town of Fowey and neighbouring towns and villages. |

St Sampson's Church, Church Hill, Golant, overlooks the River Fowey from the top of then village. Golant is reached from St Austell through Tywardreath via Castle Dor Road. From Fowey, via the Fowey to Lostwithiel road (B3269) to Castle Dor and turn right. |

About half a mile east of the village - formerly a Railway Convalescent Home, but now a luxury hotel. This is the start of the Castle Dor Walk of 4 miles on Tuesday 10th May |
