Geological rock formations at Widemouth Bay beach

A large sandy beach with good surfing. Level access very close to the road, car park and facilities. Beach owned by Cornwall Council. Large rock outcrops and other interesting geological features.
Warning: Be aware that the tide comes in very quickly across this long flat expanse of sand.

Three miles south of Bude. Backs onto the Bude to Crackington Haven coast road (Marine Drive).

Surf hire, cafes, toilets and car parks between the beach and the road.

There are two car parks at the back of Widemouth beach as well as two layby car parks to the south and north of Widemouth Bay

Dog Friendly
Dogs allowed on the south part of the beach (known as Blackrock) all year around.
Dogs are banned from the north part of the beach between Easter and the beginning of October.
