A privately owned beach that offers soft sand, easy swimming, fun family surfing along with exciting rock pools to explore, bass fishing and the unique 'Tolcarne Wedge' for boogie boarding. Expanses of soft golden sand and clear blue water make Tolcarne a favourite for many visitors.

A short walk from Newquay town centre. There is a long descent down Narrowcliff to the beach via some steps or down a winding slope.

Swimming & Surfing
Lifeguards are on duty from 21st May to 25th September 2011. Swimming, fishing and water sports are available. Water tested by the Environment Agency.

Beach huts, windbreaks & loungers are available for hire. Venus Beach Shop open for breakfast, lunch, ice creams & early evening meals from 9:00am to 6:00pm every day in the summer (open later on fine evenings). Also open from 10:00am until 5:00pm from Easter to the end of October. The café is closed during the winter . Water Sports Equipment Hire. Toilets. Crazy golf. Restaurant.

No parking on beach but plenty of car parks in Newquay.

Dog Friendly
No dogs allowed on the beach between Whitsun & the end of September.
