A west-facing beachlocated between Dennis Point and Penhallic Point, about a mile south of Tintagel. The name probably comes from the rectangular hole in the side of the cliff. This is believed to be part of the slate extraction workings.
It lies to the south of Bagalow Beach in an area rich in slate quarries. Bagalow beach can only be reached from Hole beach at low tide.
