Harlyn is a wide, sandy bay with a reputation as one of the "safer" beaches. It is popular with families and surf schools. The beach is backed by low cliffs and characterised by low tide, sand banks and steep high tide shelf which creates a shore break.

Access
From the Newquay to Padstow road (B3276) turn off onto minor road signposted Harlyn (about 2 miles west of Padstow).

Facilities
Lifeguard at weekends only in April and daily from 29th April to 25th September. Toilets in car park, shops and pub in Harlyn village.

Parking
Large car park (extended into a field on busy days) at the rear of the beach.

Dog Friendly
Dogs allowed all year at Harlyn Bay
