![]() ![]() The beach at Rock is a long sandy beach on the east side of the Camel Estuary. At low tide it stretches from Porthilly Cove all the way to Daymer Bay. The best area of the sand is juts beyond the ferry pontoon. There are also extensive sand dunes to the north-east. A passenger ferry runs between Rock and Padstow on the opposite side of the Estuary. Access The beach adjoins the road as it runs through Rock. Reached by passenger ferry from Padstow to Rock or by road from Wadebridge via the B3314 to St Minver and minor roads to Rock. Swimming & Surfing Tidal river suitable for swimming but beware of tidal currents. Facilities Public conveniences, café and beach shop. Ice cream van in car park in summer months. Rock Yacht Club.
